Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Two kinds of payment
Money moves through Slotora in two different ways, and refunds work differently for each: payments to an organiser(match fees, fundraisers, bookings, entry fees — processed via Stripe to the organiser's account, with Slotora never holding the money), and payments to Slotora (Pro, Teams, and Support subscriptions, one-off donations to Slotora).
1. Payments to organisers
Payment requests & entry fees
- The organiser is the merchant for these payments and is responsible for refunds. Ask the organiser first — they have a Refund button for every payment they've received.
- When an organiser refunds you, you get back the full amount you paid, including the service fee you covered.
- If you paid an entry fee and the refund goes through, your paid access to that event is revoked.
Bookings
- You can cancel a booking any time from the "manage booking" link in your confirmation email. The organiser can also cancel from their side.
- Cancelling a paid booking triggers a full refund automatically.
Fundraiser contributions
- Contributions are gifts, so they're generally not refundable — but the organiser can refund a contribution (e.g. made in error). Contact them via the fundraiser page.
If the organiser won't respond
Email billing@slotora.app. We can't issue an organiser's refund ourselves (we don't hold the money), but we can contact the organiser, and suspected fraud may lead to account action. You may also have chargeback rights through your card issuer.
Slotora's platform fee
When an organiser refunds a payment, the payer is made whole. Slotora's platform fee for processing the original payment is not returned to the organiser — the processing work already happened.
2. Payments to Slotora
Subscriptions (Pro, Teams, Support)
- Cancel any time from Settings (or the group's billing page for Teams) — you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- 14-day cooling-off: if you're a consumer in the UK/EU and you subscribed for the first time within the last 14 days, you can ask for a full refund at billing@slotora.app — no questions asked.
- Beyond that, renewals are generally non-refundable, but if something went wrong (double charge, billing error, you couldn't use what you paid for) email us and we'll put it right.
Donations to Slotora
One-off gifts are non-refundable except for errors (wrong amount, duplicate) — email billing@slotora.appwithin 14 days and we'll refund it.
How refunds arrive
Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. This policy doesn't affect your statutory rights.
