Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 July 2026
1. Who we are
Slotora is operated by Slotora Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17330293) ("Slotora", "we", "us"). These terms are a contract between you and Slotora Ltd. By creating an account or using slotora.app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What Slotora is
Slotora helps people organise real-world groups: scheduling polls ("oras"), activities with rosters, sign-up sheets, message boards, groups, direct messages, booking pages, and tools for organisers to collect payments. Core features are free for everyone; optional paid plans (Pro, Teams) and paid features are described at the point of purchase.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use payment features with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
- You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in methods (password, passkeys, Google account) secure.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. One person per account.
- Some features work without an account (voting on a poll, creating certain oras, booking a session as a guest). These terms apply to that use too.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Slotora. In particular, you must not:
- break the law, or organise unlawful activity through the service;
- harass, threaten, or abuse other people, or post content that is hateful, pornographic, or exploits minors;
- impersonate others, spam, scrape, or send unsolicited marketing through Slotora;
- use fundraisers or payments for gambling, raffles, prize draws, or anything on Stripe's prohibited-business list;
- attempt to bypass security, rate limits, payment gates (such as entry fees), or access other people's data;
- upload malware or interfere with the operation of the service.
We may remove content, suspend features, or suspend/ban accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable we'll tell you what happened and why. You can report content or users from within the app.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post (polls, messages, images, group content). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and share it as needed to run the service — for example showing your poll to the people you share the link with. You are responsible for having the rights to what you post, and for the data you collect from your participants (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Payments
6a. Paying organisers (payment requests, fundraisers, bookings, entry fees)
- Payments to organisers are processed by Stripe. Money goes from the payer via Stripe to the organiser's connected Stripe account. Slotora never holds your money and is not the merchant of record for these payments — the organiser is.
- Slotora charges a platform service fee on these payments, shown transparently at checkout. The fee is generally added on top so the organiser receives the amount they asked for.
- Fundraiser contributions are gifts. Nothing is promised in return, and no prize or gambling mechanics are allowed.
- Refunds of organiser payments are initiated by the organiser — see the Refund Policy.
6b. Paying Slotora (Pro, Teams, Support)
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time via the billing portal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Prices are shown before you pay. We'll give reasonable notice of price changes, which take effect at your next renewal.
6c. Organisers who collect money
- You must complete Stripe onboarding, and you agree to Stripe's connected-account terms. You are responsible for the goods/services you charge for, for honouring refunds, and for any taxes on money you receive.
- We may suspend payment features for suspected fraud, prohibited use, or legal/Stripe requirements.
7. Free plan promise
Slotora's core features are free, with no advertising. Paid plans add extras; they do not remove anything from the free plan.
8. Service availability & changes
We work hard to keep Slotora available but provide it "as is" — we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue something significant that you've paid for, we'll refund the unused portion.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited (like death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise: Slotora is a tool for organising events run by its users — we are not responsible for the events themselves, for other users' behaviour, or for disputes between payers and organisers. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of £100 or the amounts you paid Slotora in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Ending things
You can stop using Slotora any time and can delete your account in Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (payments owed, liability, disputes) survive termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU you keep any mandatory consumer protections and courts of your home country.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes we'll give notice (e.g. by email or in-app) before they take effect. Continuing to use Slotora after that means you accept the updated terms.
